Solaris: How to get rid of [English/European] bar underneath every window?

[English/European] bar will be shown underneath every window, if en_US.UTF-8 (en_US.UTF-8 is a Unicode locale for American English) has been chosen as the default locale, during the installation of OS.

How to get rid of it?
Choose C (7-bit US-ASCII English locale) locale
  1. Temporary workaround: Select Options -> Langauges -> C at the CDE/GNOME/JDS login menu button
  2. Permanant fix: Remove the LANG line in the /etc/default/init file and then reboot the system; then C locale will be used as the system's default locale. Or simply replace en_US.UTF-8 with C in /etc/default/init
Of course, play with other locales if neither C nor en_US.UTF8 works for you
